.... how beautiful their own kid is, no matter how funky they look, especially for the first two weeks of life outside of the womb. Let's face it, most kids look like those shrunken heads that you made out of apples as a kid, wrinkled, splotchy, mishapen. For the parents though, he/she is the most beautiful thing they've seen put on this earth (present party included). Is this Darwinian? Something inborn that can see the beauty to be? I love my kid, baby pimples and all.
Well Chris,
as a new parent, you have earned the long practiced tradition of thinking your kid(s) is/are the cutest in the world. All biases aside, from the majority of the pictures you have posted so far (not counting the thumbnail pic ..) they do look pretty cute.
Not sure about the Darwinian or inborn argument, likely you have just lost perspective ... but isn't that what part of being a good parent is about?
Boy, looking at this picture, it makes me long for the time when I could just lay around and sleep ... cool concept.
Take care,
John
She's so tiny and so fragile. Newborn babies are so delicate and sweet. It would be nice to have a baby in the house. On second thoughts, I think I'll just read your blog and spare myself the anguish. Hehehehe...
